My Three Little Piggies
60Our Guinea's are Our Kids Part 1
My husband have been together for over 10 years and married 6 out of the ten and one of the topics when things started getting serious is would it matter if we ended up one of those who could not have children. At the point we both looked at each other and said no because we were so fortunate to have found each other that if we did would be great and if not then we would go alternative routes.
Be as it may we ended up making a family around what we refer to as our furry children starting with our two cats Cuddles and Baby and thru out years numerous rats who were spoiled and now the newest is our three piggies Honey, Morgan an Alvin.
The thing with having furry children they do adapt to your personalities, Honey was adopted which started the whole guinea pigs. As I worked with her not knowing anything about guinea pigs I did a lot of research as to what they ate which highly important and what is the housing they should be kept in. Needless to say the dietary is very easy and housing is very similar to my precious rats only bigger quarters and the way they look at you and actually communicate made me love these animals all the more. All of them have distinct personalities but they do have one thing in common, they get baths every three months and when they get their shampoo they absolutely love to be blow dry and then given a little treat afterwards. Truly amazing but one that I would not trade for the world. Later I'll eventually post a video when I get a good recorder otherwise I take pictures of all my furry ones.Until then.......
